Adam Wakeman

Adam is best known as the keyboardist and longest-serving member of Ozzy Osbourne’s solo band, a role he has held since 2004. He has also performed as an off-stage keyboardist and guitarist for Black Sabbath since 2004. As a songwriter, Adam co-wrote six tracks on Ozzy Osbourne’s platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated album Scream.
As a member of Ozzy Osbourne’s solo band, Adam performed at every live show during his tenure, culminating in what became Ozzy’s final performance, Back to the Beginning, at Villa Park, Birmingham on July 5, 2025. The concert was witnessed by 43,000 fans in attendance and nearly six million viewers via a global live stream.
In addition to his role with Ozzy Osbourne and the closing Black Sabbath set, Adam also performed as part of two supergroup performances featuring an extraordinary lineup of artists including Nuno Bettencourt, Yungblud, Chad Smith, Frank Bello, Lzzy Hale, Jake E. Lee, Mike Bordin, Dave Ellefson, David Draiman, Scott Ian, Sleep Token II, Whitfield Crane, Billy Corgan, Tom Morello, KK Downing, Adam Jones, Rudy Sarzo, Vernon Reid, Sammy Hagar, Papa Ghost, and Travis Barker.
The live performance of Changes with Yungblud was released as a charity single, becoming an iTunes best-selling download and topping charts worldwide, with over seven million views.

In 2020, Adam launched his project Jazz Sabbath, which has received widespread critical acclaim from both fans and music critics. Two of the project’s three albums have charted in the Top 10 of the Billboard Jazz Chart, with Volume 2 reaching No. 6. Jazz Sabbath has toured extensively across the UK, Europe, Australia, and the United States, with further international touring scheduled for 2026 and 2027.

The Early Years - 
Born on March 11, 1974, into a musical family, Adam began playing classical piano at the age of eight. By seventeen, he had achieved Grade 8 with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and had recorded the first of eight albums with his father, Rick Wakeman. Much of Adam’s early touring was alongside his father and spanned the UK, Europe, Russia, South America, the United States, and Canada, ranging from intimate dual grand piano performances to full-scale rock productions featuring orchestra and choir.
At the age of 24, Adam won the Best New Talent award from Keyboard magazine in the United States, marking the beginning of his work within the London session scene.
In 2007, Adam co-founded the progressive rock band Headspace alongside Damian Wilson, Pete Rinaldi, Lee Pomeroy, and Richard Brook. In 2010, he established The Perfect Music Library, a production music library representing his own work as well as music from over 100 composers for television and film worldwide.
Adam lives in Buckingham, England, with his wife Terri and their three children, Skyla, Kai, and Taja.
